Location

Glashmore Steading is located 15 miles west of Aberdeen. Banchory is 8 miles to the southwest and Westhill just under 8 miles to the northeast.

The nearest village is Drumoak, served by a primary school, a local football pitch, access to the river Dee and a garden centre a mile to east.

Banchory is a beautiful scenic town on Royal Deeside, served by two primary schools and an Academy.  The locality has a number of woodland areas and walks including the Deeside way running from Aberdeen to Braemar, highly renowned golf courses, as well as many other recreational opportunities.

The site benefits from planning permission in principle for formation of 3 dwelling houses (including conversion of existing steading), which was granted on 09 December 2016 under reference APP/2016/1974. Additionally, the plot to the north of the steading also benefits from further planning permission for the erection of two further dwelling houses, which was granted on 20 October 2016, under reference APP/2015/3286.
