Leys Group Employees Raise Thousands During A Weekend of Fundraising
Employees from across Leys Group took on not one, but two major fundraising challenges on Sunday, 14th September, raising more than £3,000 for local charities.
A team of daredevils from Leys Group, which includes Leys Estate Group and Bancon Group, joined The Archie Abseil, descending the side of Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital. Their efforts and courage raised an impressive £1,570 for The Archie Foundation, which supports babies, children and their families across Aberdeenshire, Moray and Tayside.
Meanwhile, a second group of colleagues laced up their running shoes for BraemarAthon, with participants tackling both the 10K and half marathon routes. Claire Forbes of Bancon Homes was on top form, taking first place in the 10K ladies’ age group and James Adamson, Bancon Homes and Bancon Construction, triumphed in the half marathon. Together, the team raised £1,770 for Leys Group’s Charities of the Year: Camphill Schools, Stonehaven Men’s Shed and Strathcarron Hospice.
The fundraising doesn’t stop there. Later this month, on Saturday, 27th September, employees will take on the iconic 19-mile Lairig Ghru trail. Donations to support the Group’s ongoing fundraising can be made here: https://bit.ly/46lyDHW
