The event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the diverse range of roles that support a modern estate business. While estates are often associated with farming, forestry and land management, the reality is that today’s operations rely on a wide variety of skills and professions.

Our display highlighted just some of the careers found across Leys Estate Group, including forestry management, countryside and wildlife management, property management, surveying, finance, administration, hospitality, tourism, marketing and communications.

Throughout the evening, we enjoyed speaking with pupils about their interests, aspirations and the many different routes available into employment. It was particularly encouraging to see the level of curiosity about careers that combine practical, technical and professional skills.

Events such as the Careers Fair play an important role in helping young people explore future opportunities and gain a better understanding of the range of careers available within their local community.
