Alexander Gray - Geno Relapses

This November, Milton Art Gallery will host Worlds Apart, a major exhibition bringing together some of Scotland’s most established artists alongside an exciting new generation of emerging talent. Running from 7th to 22nd November 2026, the exhibition offers visitors a rare opportunity to experience a diverse collection of contemporary Scottish art in one inspiring setting.

Curated by Milton Art Gallery and Art Consultant Richard Colquhoun, Worlds Apart features work by renowned artists including Calum Colvin, Ronald Forbes, Alexander Guy, Edward Summerton, Matthew Draper, Arran Ross and Colin Brown, exhibited alongside recent master’s graduates Nicole Hopley, Bronwyn MacKenzie and Nicole Macintosh.

While the artists are at very different stages in their careers, the exhibition explores what connects them: a shared passion for creativity, craftsmanship and artistic expression. The result is a fascinating dialogue between established and emerging voices, showcasing the depth, diversity and continuing evolution of Scotland’s contemporary art scene.

A special opening event on Saturday, 7th November will include an exclusive Q&A featuring Calum Colvin and Ronald Forbes, offering visitors an opportunity to hear directly from two of Scotland’s most respected artists before exploring the exhibition.

Located at Milton of Crathes near Banchory, Milton Art Gallery will be open daily from 10am to 4pm during the exhibition. Whether you are an experienced collector, a passionate art enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable day out, Worlds Apart promises an engaging and thought-provoking experience.
