A team of dedicated golfers are celebrating after organising a successful fundraising event at Inchmarlo Golf Centre, Banchory.

Local ladies, Aileen Nicol, Susan Collie and Winnie Reid, also known as The Three Golfateers, organised a charity Texas Scramble competition on Sunday, 28^th April to raise funds for Breast Cancer Now’s Wear It Pink campaign.

Joined by golfers from various north-east clubs, the ladies were delighted to welcome 14 teams to the golf centre to take on the 9-hole Texas Scramble despite the testing weather conditions.

The ladies then met in the centre’s newly refurbished Member’s Lounge for a light lunch and prize giving.

Thanks to the generosity of the ladies taking part and support from many local businesses, the event raised £1,800 for the charity.

Taking home the top place on the day was the team from Kippie Lodge.
