Timber Stacks At Hill of Banchory

Leys Estate reminds youngsters of the dangers around timber stacks

As part of the ongoing forestry thinning to the north-west of Hill of Banchory, timber will be stored in the area over the coming months before being removed and processed for use as woodchip in the Hill of Banchory Energy Centre biomass heating system.

During this time, please do not enter the area and keep away from the timber stacks.

The area is clearly cordoned off with warning signs and timber will be deliberately stacked to a low height to reduce risk.

We ask the public to remind youngsters of the dangers that playing around or climbing on timber stacks poses.
