Grace Noble

Entrepreneurial success story

Grace Noble started up her own Highland Cattle herd in 2012 following a change in career and as her business expanded she needed more land and farm buildings.

Grace was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time in 2016 when a small holding became available on the outskirts of Banchory. Since then she has established a small butchery and supplies a wide range of shops and restaurants around the country.

Grace has continued the expansion of her business offering tours of her farm and herd, allowing people of all ages to learn about the journey of highland beef from farm to plate.

Her main focus is ensuring the cattle have a healthy lifestyle which includes supplementing their diet using natural waste grain bi-products from her neighbour on the estate, Deeside Brewery. Grace has plans to expand the farm tour experience with a café/tea room and small retail shop selling her own products and others from other estate businesses.

Grace recently welcomed the BBC Countryfile team to her Lochton of Leys farm. You can catch up with the episode here.
