We were delighted to welcome two classes from Hill of Banchory Primary School to the Hill of Banchory Energy Centre as part of their recent studies around sustainability.

The pupils enjoyed hearing about the lifecycle of energy from Operations Manager, Mike Allan, and they kept him busy with lots of questions about the centre – from the process of chipping to how the heat network has expanded since it was first operational.

Teacher Mrs Grahamslaw said: “Both classes really enjoyed finding out more about the practical aspect of making energy for Banchory and making the connections with the work we have done on making sustainable choices. We look forward to coming to visit again next year!”
