Milton Art Gallery Opens Exhibition In Memory Of Special Friend

Sandie Youngson exhibition at Milton Art Gallery

Milton Art Gallery is welcoming a very special exhibition to its Aberdeenshire gallery from Friday, 20th January.

The exhibition will feature work from long-term gallery friend Sandie Youngson who sadly passed away from Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in 2022. Sandie regularly exhibited work at Milton Art Gallery since it opened in 1997 bringing special meaning to the exhibition.

Running until Friday, 1st February, the exhibition will also feature a number of original artworks which Sandie’s family have agreed to release for sale.

In addition, the exhibition will be helping to raise funds for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation with all proceeds from sales going to the charity at the family’s request.

Sandie was celebrated for her distinctive seascapes, beach scenes and colourful landscape paintings. A former Macmillan nurse, she also gave her time to running art classes for terminally ill cancer patients.

The Milton Art Gallery is situated at Milton of Crathes on the A93, just minutes from Banchory. The exhibition will be open Tuesday – Sunday between 10.30am and 4.30pm. Visitors are warmly welcomed.
